A tea ritual does not need elaborate equipment or a perfect morning. It begins with a little attention: to the cup, the aroma and the moment in front of you.

Begin with the tea you have

Check the pack before you start. A cinnamon-only infusion and a blend containing tea leaves may need different water temperatures and steeping times. A blend can also contain caffeine or other ingredients, so let the label guide your preparation.

Choose a cup that feels good to hold. Warm it with a little hot water, empty it, and set it on a surface where you can pause comfortably. These small preparations help turn a drink into a moment you choose, rather than another task to complete.

A simple cinnamon-quill infusion

For a kitchen-made infusion, put one small food-grade cinnamon quill in a small saucepan with a cup of water. Bring to a gentle simmer, let the aroma develop for several minutes, then taste carefully. Continue a little longer if you prefer a fuller flavour. Strain into your cup, removing bark fragments before drinking.

This is a flexible culinary suggestion, not a supplement regimen. Quill size, freshness and personal preference all change the result. If you are using a packaged Ceylentra tea, follow that product’s instructions instead.

Let the first sip be simple

Taste the infusion before adding anything. Notice the aroma as the drink cools a little, and how the experience changes between the first sip and the last. If you want another note, try a small strip of washed orange peel or a little milk, choosing ingredients that suit your dietary needs.

Sweetening is entirely optional. Add a small amount if you enjoy it, then taste again. The point is to find a balance you like, not to reproduce someone else’s perfect cup.

Make the pause your own

Put your phone aside for a few minutes. Open a book, sit by a window or share the cup with a conversation. You might prefer an early morning infusion or a quiet drink after dinner. There is no special time you must choose.

A slower moment is not about doing more. It is about giving your attention to what is already there.
